Our Team

Simon Kennedy

Simon has over 12 years experience as a physiotherapist following completion a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1998 at the University of South Australia. His training and experience has led to him to focus his interests on musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions in private practice. Simon is passionate about improving the health and physical well being of his patients and aims to get people more flexible, strong and physically capable than they have been in years. He aims to get people back to work, sport and exercise sooner and improve the lifestyles of those even in chronic pain.

Simon has continued extended training in treating problems with the lumbar spine and pelvis, upper neck and headaches, shoulder injuries and tendon injuries. He uses hands-on manual therapy techniques and has trained in Clinical Pilates, Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling.

Simon Kennedy


Kate Kennedy

Kate completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1999 from the University of South Australia and since graduating has worked in Coffs Harbour, the UK and Adelaide.

Kate has worked for 11 years in Lymphoedema management. Some of the techniques she uses to assist in the management of Lymphoedema include massage, compression bandaging, taping, prescription of compression garments and education.

Kate has advanced training in Traditional Japanese Acupuncture as well as Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling. She finds using the combination of Eastern and Western Medicine highly effective in treating many conditions including chronic pain, women’s health, headaches and musculoskeletal pain. Kate is currently the SA representative for the Acupuncture and Dry Needling Group of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Kate is also a qualified Pilates instructor and highly recommends Pilates as a means to recover and prevent injury. Kate has recently had two children and is now running a Pilates Class for Mums and Bubs to help women like herself recover strength, tone and posture pre and post pregnancy.

Vicky Langley

Vicky qualified from Manchester University, England in 2003 and went on to work in the field of Musculo-skeletal injuries. Vicky emigrated to Australia in August 2009 and has settled in well to Aussie life.

Vicky has a keen interest in sport and sports physiotherapy, having worked for 5 years at a variety of sports clubs. These have included rugby union, rugby league and also for the Amateur Swimming Association working with under 16’s. Vicky enjoys participating in cycling, swimming, triathlons, and netball and hopes to start some kite-boarding lessons soon.

To complement her physiotherapy skills, Vicky is also qualified in sports massage and Pilates and finds both these techniques very useful adjuncts to treatment.Vicky works full-time in the clinic.

Chris Williams

Chris is our newest team member at Sturt Road Physio. Chris grew up in the Brighton area and after attending Sacred Heart College he went on to complete his Bachelors degree in Human Movement and Health Studies, Masters in Exercise Science: Strength & Conditioning and Masters of Physiotherapy.

Chris loves his footy and all things sports. As a keen footballer himself Chris has taken interest in athlete development and rehabilitation and has previous experience working with Semi-Elite Athletes in Netball and Aussie rules Football. Chris also likes to keep himself fit and active.

Chris has completed Clinical Pilates level 1&2 and is enthusiastic about his approach to injury rehabilitation.
